Tahbilk Marsanne 2016

If Tahbilk Marsanne isn’t in your cellar, you’re missing out one of the great cellaring bargains in Australia. Consistently fresh and drinkable in youth, the aging potential also breeds a special kind of attractiveness.

Tahbilk, Marsanne, Nagambie, 2016

tahbilk-marsanne-2016

As the late, great Roy Orbison sang, “Anything you want, you got it.” Think lifted white stone fruit slices; ultra clean citrus lines that are so sharp, they’d wouldn’t be out of place in a chef’s knife bag. A floral intrigue with the suggestion of honeysuckle and pea sprouts. No danger of missing body and structure here: zippy linear mouth feel pulses the citrus smears, all the while the saliva inducing acid bears witness to the longevity. Wonderful alternative to any “fresh dry white” you may find on the market.

RRP: $18.50 (I dare you to find it at full retail)

Alc: 13%
