Seriously, Franco D’Anna should have Britney Spear’s “Oops I Did It Again” as his ringtone, such is the consistency of his winemaking, regardless of the variety.
Hoddles Creek Estate, Pinot Gris , Yarra Valley, 2016
Fermented on skins for 7 days. The colour recalls little baby eschalot skin. Fragrant and perfumed. Sweetish Toffee (praline kind), pear skins/juice, cool copper with a little bit of funk. Boom. Mouth filling texture, tongue clacking acidity and plenty of flavour: think subtle stone fruit and pear. Buy this. Drink this.
