Wolf Blass Yellow Label Chardonnay 2015

Staple of many barbeques and function events for over 40 years. Winemaker is John Ashwell.

Wolf Blass, Yellow Label Chardonnay, South Australia 2015

Plenty of “Chardonnay” going on here. Plenty of peachy keen stonefruit, some subtle egg shell, struck match sulfides and a little licorice/jersey caramel too. Palate is medium, with easy flavours and nothing offensive at all. A little acidity to keep things lively and French oak maturation leads to a creamy tone to round things out. If it turned up on my table at a function, I’d be okay with a glass or two, but it’s not going to change my world.

RRP: $17.99

Alc: 13%
