The Otago wine district is arguably one of the most visually stunning regions in the world. Nestled under the 2 million year old Pisa mountain range, Amisfield have a site with glacially derived gravel-driven soils.
Amisfield Pinot Noir Rosé, Central Otago 2016
Light strawberry pink. Structured nose with light cherries, cranberries and some peppery, stalky notes for complexity. Fruit sweet red spectrum up front before a relatively muscular palate with good spice elements. A serious style of rosé that would partner just seared tuna medallions.
