While this is labelled, Bendigo, the vineyard is located at Serpentine, around 50kms n-e of Bendigo proper.

Deep garnet with a ruby edge. Wet damson plum with a prickly quality before asphalt, iodine, baked biscuit. There’s some bitter herbs, prune and licorice showing the vestiges of the vintage. The tannins are plentiful and almost coarse, but stop just short. It’s a biggun and works well for the style.
