I’m never sure why verdelho didn’t take off the way sauv blanc did (and has stayed). Part of the “Silhouette” range and named after the Willson sister’s grandmothers.
Bremerton, Mollie & Merle, Verdelho, Langhorne Creek, 2017
Lifts from the glass with attractive aromas with pears leading the way over candle wax and mixed melon/fruit salad. Crunchy texture to the flavour of pear slices and lingering tropical fruit before the acidity cleans it all up neatly. Never strays too far from the safe middle ground. Easy summer drinking.
