Petaluma, B & V Vineyard, Shiraz, Adelaide Hills, 2015
Brooding purple colour in the glass. Rich and darkly fruited nose with plenty of toasty oak and pan fried spices: fennel seed and black pepper corns. Powerfully fruited yet showing cool(er) climate restraint and elegance: red and black dominance, pockmarked with blueberries and supported by Belgian chocolate like influences. All-corners of the mouth invasive fine tannin deliver an excellent foundation stone for further ageing.
RRP: $45
