Mandala, The Rock, Shiraz, Yarra Valley, 2014

Plaistowe chocolate, white pepper, plum skin, clover, fig and rose petals. Medium to full bodied with blue meaty and plum swathes over spiced rum&raisin choc with that hint of lingering pepper and clover leaf. Cool-ish climate shiraz with little rumbles of tannin. A handsome wine, if not quite reaching the heights of the pinots.
