Tahbilk may have a reputation as an ‘old school’ producer with gutsy rustic wines that apparently live forever, however, this Cabernet is thoroughly modern in approach, while respecting the uniqueness of the region. Oh, and it will probably still live a very long time.
Tahbilk, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nagambie Lakes, 2016
Vibrant black currant with regional leafy notes. Purple boysenberry and mulberry with a quality toasted oak character. A 50/50 wine at the moment: Fresh, juicy up front with telltale, age-worthy tannin.
