McLaren Vale’s regional star blend Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre.
Chapel Hill, The Parson, Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre, McLaren Vale, 2017
Musk sticks and raspberry jubes fight for dominance, like a take home party bag from a kids party (parents: does that even happen any more?) with base notes of earthy gravel and graphite and finishing back with dark, crushed rose petals. Good texture: enough grip to give a serious note to the otherwise up front silky, satiny mouth feel. Bright fruit with a smile and a little kick of saltiness for balance.
RRP: $18
Alc: 14%
Rating: 16.5/20

What happened to The Parson Pinot Grigio? It’s disappeared from all your publicity. Was it a dud, or have you simply sold out?
Hi John. I have no commercial affiliation with Chapel Hill and can’t comment on their release choices. It may be best contact them to find out the answer to your question.
