I read it on a wall, it went straight to my head, it said, “Dance to the tension of a world on edge.” Made from fruit sourced high in the “gardens” of the Eden Valley.
St Hallett, Garden of Eden, Shiraz, Eden Valley, 2016
Plum flesh and juice, raspberry, chocolate and an ever-so-slight carbonic sweet note counterpointed with savoury elements of chicory and earthy roast beetroot. The wine carries a fragrant woody dark spice overtone. Smooth and silky palate, with generous outpourings of dark berry fruits and fine, easy tannins. A pleasant gravelly spine holds it together for a subtle licorice finish. Plenty of juicy drinkability.
