Yalumba, Organic, Chardonnay, South Australia, 2018

A little sulfidic pong blows off to reveal light bread crust, melon rind, peach flesh, native blossom and a touch of Jersey caramel. Heading into medium weight territory, this layered Chardonnay displays a good balance between fruit (stone fruit/navel orange) and textural, savoury elements. Fine phenolic grip and clean acidity make for a quality wine best consumed in the now.
