Made with Certified Organic fruit from the Monash Valley region, part of South Australia’s Riverland. The wine spent 6 months on yeast lees after stainless steel fermentation with a parcel spending time in old oak. Made by Con-Greg Grigoriou, the man behind Delinquenté Wine Company for the Fourth Wave Wine team.
The Primrose Path, Organic, Chardonnay, South Australia, 2018
Light gold hue in the glass. Easy varietal aromas with melon and nougat, thick Lisbon lemon skin and a touch of oatmeal biscuit. Simply constructed with a just medium weight palate. Bittersweet light grapefruit and aforementioned melon flavours. The lees and barrel work give a modicum of funk and interest. Well balanced and finishes clean. Certainly a value choice for those looking to buy Certified Organic.
