Riversdale Estate is based just outside Hobart, under the shade of the University of Tasmania’s radio telescope, pointed upwards at the heavens, giving inspiration to the naming for the Riversdale wines.
Riversdale Estate, Cygnus, Riesling, Coal River Valley, 2016
3 years on, a touch of TDN, Developing nose: pomme skin, white flowers and cream. Carrying some heft with a waxy phenolic grip, slightly thin back palate with sour acidity. Flavours run through pomme flesh, lime pith while still retaining a touch of youthful freshness. Certainly in the teenage years as far as development is concerned.
