From the cool altitude region of the Orange district in New South Wales. The 2018 has just started to poke it’s nose about, but there will be some of this left out there in retail land. Note: bottle image is of the 2016, but nothing else has changed.
Angullong, Shiraz, Orange, 2017
Fine ground black pepper, blackberry jam, wine gum jube with sweeter vanilla oak and earthen ash. Slick and silky black fruited, medium-full palate with a mesh of fine drying tannins and some lift from regional acidity. Medium length of flavour and intensity. A smooth, reasonably well balanced Shiraz.
