Wickhams Road, Chardonnay, Yarra Valley, 2020
Waxy and little funky, richer stonefruit and wet dough, minced ginger, bacon fat and pithy lemon/lime. Tacky texture with savoury, almost meaty nuances before an intense limey stab. Not hitting the usual highs expected of this label, so we’ll just put it down to 2020.
