Mercer Wines PF Rouge 2021

Aaron Mercer has left the organic force that is Tamburlaine and headed out on his own with Mercer Wines. This is a blend of Shiraz and Montepulciano. Label artwork is entitled “SPACES BETWEEN” by Jo Dyer.

Mercer Wines, Preservative Free, Rouge, New South Wales, 2021

Brick dust, camphor smoke, incense, cherry jam, bluestone, red apple, plum flesh, boysenberry, leather, dried kitchen herbs and some pine like resin. Fruit forward intially, then a closed, square-ish mid to back palate and a tacky sheet of tannin. Medium length with a dark herbal balance to the bright, pippy fruit. Tasty, accessable and well put together.

RRP: $22
Alc: 14%
Rating: 17.25/20 (90/100)
