Heirloom Vineyards, Touriga, McLaren Vale, 2020

Near opaque deep garnet with a bruise purple rim. Spiced, soaking plums, blackberry, crushed bay leaf, liqueur raspberry, milk choc with deep base aromas of turned dark earth, tyre rubber and fresh tar. Maintains a tight body despite the overt aromatics with dark juicy, jubey fruit. Plenty of sandy drying tannins and a keen finish. Muscular, but not brutish. A venison or kangaroo pie would work as a fine match.
