From a vineyard planted in 1912, just to the east of Flaxman’s Valley tended to by Colin Kroehn. The 2019 has just been released, unfortunately sometimes reviews just don’t get done in time. Made by the celebrated Elena and Zar Brooks. 

Dandelion Vineyards, Red Queen of the Eden Valley, Shiraz, Eden Valley, 2018

Profound, deep and calm.  There’s a little pencilly and cedary oak supporting earthy roast beetroot, deep plum, ground black pepper and cool stone. Cool and calm: focused with a sense of purposeful drive. The tannins are fine, tight and fitting like a glove. Layers and layers of flavour, that interleaf seamlessly with excellent length.
