Bottled under screw cap. Picked up a Reserve Class Champion at Texas wine show and a lot of the stock went across to the States. If it sounds like your kind of wine, contact the cellar door.
Lambert Estate, First Chapter, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2019
Old school Barossa varietal profile. Inky purple plum and dark choc with licorice, formic acid (crushed ant), bourbon tinged vanilla, fresh oak with a coconut husk echo and a cooling dark mint. Sweet oak and vanilla prime through an unctuous, herb edged fruit focus. Tannins are soft and super approachable. I’m sure that there’ll be fans, but I’d much prefer to see the oak dialed back.
