Keira O’Brien takes fruit from Coal River Valley (in the south) and from the East Coast of Tasmania. Winemaking is described as: “Minimal pumpovers for subtle tannin extraction. Pressed just before dryness for seven months maturation on fine lees in seasoned French oak barriques.”
Rivulet Wines, Pinot Noir, Tasmania, 2021
Bright garnet to ruby in colour. Packing plenty of pure Pinosity. Crackling spice from the whole bunch influence, with deep cherry and raspberry, sweet cedary oak hinting at vanilla and crushed leaf. Silky and elegant. Gossamer tannins punctuated with bright acidity. Balanced, fine and very under priced.
