De Bortoli are now firmly committed to organic viticulture and winemaking. As of 2020, 6.2% of their Riverina vineyards are certified organic with the goal of increasing that amount to 10% by 2025. De Bortoli’s journey in sustainability is to ultimately be a “Zero Waste Wine Company” and this wine is packaged in lightweight recycled bottles and is made vegan friendly.

Coming from their Certified Organic Hemley vineyard, the “Shiraz Field Blend” naming is a little confusing  as it seems to be 100% Shiraz, but there is a little marketing line on the label that says “each grape has a story to tell.” So I guess that it’s a blend of grapes from that field??? Anywaya

Aromas of red and black fruits, strap licorice, ground black pepper, vanilla paste and mocha. Smooth, rich and full. Very easy roll of neat tannin, drying through the clean finish. Balanced and tidy, if a little simply constructed.
