Medium ruby in hue. Delicately floral with raspberry, cherry and strawberry aromas. Hints of herbal licorice, Turkish Delight (rosewater and choc), football leather, garam spice and with the right amount of char and heft from the oak. Just medium bodied with intense layers of flavour offering a fine, focused balance of red fruit and earthy. Lean through the mid-palate and wound with tight tannin. Long live “Hunter River Burgundy.”
