Slight change here for the highly successful Longview “Juno” Rosato: what was once 100% Nebbiolo now has 35% Pinot Nero in this year’s blend. Vintage conditions contributed to this winemaking decision, and while this is still a quality release, I can only hope that the Longview team return it back to 100% Nebbiolo (and its winning ways)
Longview, Rosato, Adelaide Hills, 2022
Pale dusky orange hue. Citrus driven aromas of blood to bitter orange and pink grapefruit with dried flower petals, raspberry crystals, steel, tobacco and wild fennel frond. Excellent depth for a Rosato style with a great balance between juicy fruit and the drying, zesty structure. Acidity is finely managed to provide unsuspecting refreshment. Dangerous to leave the bottle anywhere near me.
