While Moorilla (Estate) is firmly ensconced in suburban Hobart, the fruit is sourced from their St Matthias vineyard on the banks of the River Tamar (kanamaluka) in northern Tasmania. 67% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir. Some fruit portions wild fermented in old oak. 4 years on lees. Winemaker is Conor van der Reest.

Pale trout to rust colour. Vibrant beading. Malt biscuit, blood orange citrus, strawberry milk, rhubarb crumble, watermelon lolly, ginger and hibiscus flower. Lively and bright palate, with gentle pulsing acidity cutting a soft, round mid palate. Prevailing blood orange citrus, cherry and orange crème flavour and a chalky grip. Fine and long.
