Fruit comes from the close spaced Crayères Vineyard (1.5m by 1.5m) on the 37 million year old Terra Rossa ridge in Wrattonbully. Maturation in old French oak barrels and foudre.

You should have a crack at the 22 Ross Hill Pinnacle Cabernet Franc as a comparison. Absolute pearler of a wine and a true testament to site and winemaker.
Thanks Sarah. The Ross Hill team occasionally send wines for review. Jon Mattick at Canobolas in Orange is doing some good things with Cab Franc.
From a region and style perspective, SE South Aus has a very different profile to Orange.
Think Bordeaux and Loire!
