100% Chardonnay here from the highly regarded Howard Park Wines and Burch family. The 2023 vintage comprises the base wine with some new oak used for maturation, while some base wine parcels underwent malolactic fermentation. 18 months on lees and with only 2.5gms per litre of residual sugar, it is a brut, dry style. Nic Bowen is chief winemaker.
Howard Park, Petit Jeté, Blanc de Blancs, Great Southern, NV

Pale hue. Tight and tiny bubbles with a fine bead. Golden apple and flaky pastry notes. Hints of sea spray, peanut oil, ginger, lemon zest, lime juice, whipped cream, crushed chalk and roast nut nuances. Elegant mousse and neat lines. Aperitif style, finely boned and with a linear structure. The finish is dry with a chalky, refined tail. An ideal party starter.
