Grown on the ancient soils of Wrattonbully, just north of Coonawarra. The fruit is hand picked and the wine wild fermented. Vegan friendly, if that’s important to you. Made by Heather Fraser.
Smith & Hooper, Pinot Grigio, Wrattonbully, 2025
The colour very pale with green edges. A smart mix of red and green apples, brown pears, cinnamon, grapefruit, musk and birthday candle wax. Tight and lean. Providing a little flesh and waxiness while retaining very crisp and bright acidity. Some fennel anise herbaceous bitterness over varietal pear rounds things out. Neatly balanced and keen value.
