Cooks Lot, Allotment 1010, Shiraz Orange, 2023
Deep garnet in hue. Earthen and floral. Sappy raspberry (canes and berries), redcurrant, ripe cherry, turned earth, beetroot chocolate cake, old leather, baking spices and a little cedary oak. Medium to full. Showing regional acidity sharpness through waxy tannin and raspberry red fruit before tart plum and cherry. Plenty of up-front fruit with the earthy cool climate spice. No great length, but balanced through the tail.
