Deep garnet hue. Cassis and choc mint, fresh turned earth, sugo, roasted green capsicum, cigar tobacco (chomped end), pencil shavings and hints of cedar. Showing cool climate roots: Elegant tannins, but showing a little vintage leanness to the body. Good cedar spice, earthy tones and dark fruit shades to a medium fleshed edition. Quality of fruit and winemaking evident, but drink up with a hearty beef and mushroom pie.
