New label from the Saturno family out of Macclesfield. VISTA apparently is an acronym for Varied Inclines Slopes Terrain & Aspects. Working on a couple of levels of course: vista is the Italian word for “view.”
Longview Vineyard, VISTA, Shiraz/Barbera, Adelaide Hills, 2016
Silky plums, fragrant mulberry, deep cherry, twiggy herbs and a kiss of red fruited musk. Smooth and juicy yet tight, medium bodied. Oh so easy. Finishing with fine drying tannins and lovely earthy, tobacco note from the Barbera. Funky labeling and modern drinkability. Smash juice.
RRP: $24
Alc: 13.5%
