Berton Vineyards Reserve Shiraz 2015

A couple of stickers on the bottle from 2017 shows: Platinum from Decanter World Wine Awards (including Best In Show!) and Gold from International Wine Awards. Not to mention a silver here and a bronze there. Punching above weight?

Berton Vineyards, Reserve, Shiraz, Barossa, 2015

Smells like a Barossa Shiraz: Spiced cedary notes offset by white pepper with deep raspberry, prune and polished cherry fruit tones. Delicately spiced with gauze like tannins that wrap around chocolatey red and black fruits. Full bodied, but it dances light on its feet. Rose petals fall as it exists the asphalt stage. Asteal at the price.

RRP: $17
