Di Giorgio Riesling 2017

Di Giorgio have their home in Coonawarra, but here they’ve obtained fruit from the Mount Gambier district, a little further south for this riesling. Their website still has the 2015 for sale at the same price, which is interesting as I’ve already reviewed the 2016 as well.

Di Giorgio Family Wines, Riesling, Kongorong, 2017

A soft and nutty nose with apple notes alongside sea spray, grilled limes, grapefruit pith and talc. Rounded palate rich with lime sorbet, pineapple, and lemon zest. The flavour is medium long, finishes out with refreshing acidity and a talc like texture. Decent value.

RRP: $19
Alc: 11.5%
Rating: 16.5/20
