A cellar door and on website only Shiraz here from Shingleback. Stelvin Luxe cap and a tall Bordeaux bottle give elegance. French and American oak maturation.
Shingleback, The Gate, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2015
Green peppercorn, sandalwood and briar, plum, rose petal kisses, mocha and soursop coconutty, choco mint oak. The well put together fruit gives a primary 1-2 slippery combination before grainy, spiced oak takes over. Starts out a little too cute, but quality is there and will settle down in time.
