Di Giorgio have their home in Coonawarra, but here they’ve obtained fruit from the Mount Gambier district, a little further south for this riesling (technically labelled the Limestone Coast).
Di Giorgio Family Wines, Riesling, Kongorong, 2017
Hints of rosewater and bath powder over lime blossoms, orange citrus, tea smoke, pink lady apple, fresh turned earth and a slightly meaty, salty fleshy-ness. Generous palate, with riper flavours of apple and almost reaching quince. Some depth and texture through the mid palate and a medium-long finish.
