Entry level fun here from Heartland, celebrating the lighter red grape styles from Langhorne Creek.
Heartland Wines, Foreign Correspondent, Dolcetto, Lagrein, Langhorne Creek, 2018
Deliberately made without oak maturation and can even handle a chill. Light, woody herbs with red currants and berries, fresh moist earth qualities and cool tang. Pure medium-light fruit expression with only those tannins giving gentle tease and grip rather than chunky, blocky wood derived items. Herby, spicy, easy red crunchy fruits make this is a go to pairing for all manner of foods: even those with chilli kick.
