Trophy winning best 2018 Chardonnay (even over it’s much lauded cousin Tolpuddle) at the 2019 Royal Melbourne Wine Awards.
Shaw and Smith, M3, Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills, 2018
Class is evident from the first aroma: a wonderful amalgam of stonefruit, yellow citrus with hints of yellowbox honey and exceptionally judged winemaking giving an overall sense of calm. Seamless palate: wonderfully integration with yin yang of richer nectarine stonefruit melding beautifully with crisp, biting lemon sorbet citrus. Depth, freshness, balance and an incredibly long finish make this an exceptional wine.
