Red Knot by Shingleback, Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale, 2018
Deep garnet from core to rim. Blackcurrant, blackberry, grated dark chocolate, herbaceous bay, olive and a fair whack of cigar tobacco. Medium bodied with a mesh of fine, mod-Oz tannin structure and an inherent juiciness not unlike citrus. The dark fruit profile runs consistently from start to finish and the wine leaves a savoury tail. Very good value.
