Hill-Smith Estate, Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills, 2018
Pale lemon gold in colour. Striking nose: plenty of white stone fruit, grapefruit and complex aromas of struck match flinty-ness torn bread crust, nougat with a mossy earthiness. Rounded front palate with generous creamy fruit quality off-set by young savoury, spicy oak. Tightly packed in to an almost briny finish with a focused line of acidity. Full potential will be unleashed with a small amount of time.
