Viognier it seems, is the 4th most planted white grape variety in McLaren Vale.
Rusty Mutt, Catnip, Viognier, McLaren Vale, 2019
Pungent and lifted stone fruit aromatics: sweet apricot fuzz with doughy aromas supported by grilled tropical fruit notes. Unoaked, the palate holds some genuine Viognier apricot breadth while still remaining citrussy tight. Slightly waxy, bittersweet fruit finish with fine acidity and leaving with lingering spice.
