DAOSA, Blanc de Blancs, Chardonnay, Piccadilly Valley, 2022
Pale straw hue. Super tight bead and persistent bubbles. Opens dry and briny with rock salt, pink grapefruit, hints of crème brûlée richness, green apple and jasmine florals. The mousse is tight and controlled. Reserve wine depth and savouriness gives bass notes to white flowers, dried fig and crab apple. The dosage and vintage offering a generosity to off-set the intense and structured tail. Finishes long with fine-etched persistence. In the upper echelons of BdBs in the country.
