Glenguin Estate Stonybroke Shiraz 2018

Glenguin Estate founder, Robin Tedder MW, believes the Hunter Valley can grow Shiraz to rival the best in the world. This wine matured in small format older French oak for 14 months.

Glenguin Estate, Stonybroke, Shiraz, 2018

Dusty and spicy (clove/pepper) nose with purple berries, riper hits of raspberry, unwrapped chocolate bar and bloody ferrous interest. Modern and approachable up front with large raspberries (they do taste different to the small ones), blueberry pie, bitter coffee and chocolate raisin. The tannins dusty, drying and a little coarse while the acidity seems a little shrill for now.  Will develop and show fine cohesion.
