You might be hard pressed to get any of this from Hoddles Creek themselves, but if you’re quick, you might still find some on shelves of your favourite independent retailer.
Hoddles Creek Estate, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2019
I still don’t know how Franco and the team manage to get so much here for the price. Fragrant with ripe cherries, fresh thyme, plump strawberry and brown spices. There’s a little sweet kiss of cedary oak, yet this doesn’t detract. Medium bodied. Well crafted, replete with the right balance of fruit and savoury qualities, precise tannins and long finish. A wine of charm and class.
