Tahbilk, 1927 Vines, Marsanne, Nagambie Lakes, 2014
Signature honeysuckle, nashi pear, fresh ginger slices, lemon pith with only soft touches of developing notes: light pastry/toast crust and lime marmalade. Light bodied, yet with undeniable power in such a youthful linear frame. This delivers a precise if maybe somewhat polarising experience, with the acidity still exceptionally fierce and reminiscent of some of the great Hunter Valley Semillons. Intensity and focus, merely hinting at the depth that this will develop over many years to come.
