Made by Teresa Heuzenroeder and part of the greater Yalumba stable. The name recognising that the vineyard sits at 500 metres above sea level. Partial French oak maturation (20%), limited new (5%) and the remainder 1 year and older.

Heggies Vineyard, Cloudline, Chardonnay, Eden Valley, 2019

Aromas of savoury malt with ginger biscuit, peach and plump raisin. Grapefruit pith/skin and some custardy sulfites Somewhat of a “doughnut” palate. Like the buffalo girls, the flavour goes around the outside and leaves little through the middle. Tart lime/grapefruit citrus dominate while the acidity is somewhat sour, green and a little piercing. Could do with a little more flesh on the bones.
