Yalumba, Chardonnay, Eden Valley, 2019
Pale lemon gold in colour. Solid varietal nose: Pleasant grapefruit and lemon tart giving rich citrus, light bread crust, white nougat, frozen green grape and a touch of woody oak shavings. Instant appeal to the round, Rubenesque front to creamy mid palate that dovetails neatly into some tight acidity. Bitter tonic/savoury finish with fine phenolics. Solid.
