Tahbilk have done more for Marsanne than any other winery in the world. This Cane Cut, sweeter style, is yet another weapon in a formidable arsenal. Don’t just match this to a dessert, it has the power and depth to match rich cheeses.
Tahbilk, Cane Cut, Marsanne, Nagambie, 2017
Profound and amplified Marsanne aromas: Honeysuckle, baked citrus tart, cumquat marmalade, fresh cut straw, aspic and with a steely linear drive. Delivering an expected viscosity and sweetness while maintaining an impelling drive that carries the wine very very long. The sweetness isn’t cloying but beautifully judged with plenty of zest and zip that leaves a divine succulence. Bargain.
