Winemaker Dylan McMahon carries on the legacy that his grandfather, Dr Peter McMahon started in the 1970s in establishing the Yarra Valley as a prime site for world class wines.
Seville Estate, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2019
Proper “old school” Pinot Noir aromas: dark cherry, just meaty richness and undergrowth with a fragrant Seville orange note (no pun intended). Oak gives a hint of smoky chocolate, but not overpowering or distracting in any way. Crunchy and loves living in the dark savoury end of the Pinot Noir spectrum. The medium full body littered with cotton swab tannins that take their time to dissipate neatly. A Pinot of detail and focus.
