Seville Estate, planted by Dr Peter McMahon in the 1970s, built their reputation on Shiraz. Rightfully so.
Seville Estate, Shiraz, Yarra Valley, 2018
30% whole bunch included for extra oomph. Vanilla tipped cigarillo, fleshy plum and pink peppercorns with heady spice, kid skin leather, liquorice and a little rustic eucalypt/garrigue herbs. Medium bodied with a meaty, fleshy yet elegant feel. Whole bunch gives a stalky, chewy texture to the tannins and offers spice to counterbalance the quality deep berry. Very good now and will be great later.
