Made with fruit from the Broke-Fordwich sub-region of the north west Hunter Valley and named after Jorg Gartelmann’s Uncle Wilhelm.
Gartelmann, Wilhelm, Shiraz, Hunter Valley, 2017
Slick sheen of black and red berries with pencil wood oak and some pink peppercorn spice/lift and a little animal lanolin. Full front palate that constricts to a tight finish with just puckering tannins and piquant spice. Missing some mid palate persistence for greater points. Ready for immediate enjoyment.
